TThe wake effect is a key factor in determining the layout of wind farms and the spacing between wind turbines. When a downwind turbine is located in the wake of an upwind turbine, it experiences reduced wind speed and increased turbulence intensity, which results in a decrease in power generation and an increase in load.

By using the PPI scanning mode of a 3D scanning Doppler LiDAR, real-time and accurate monitoring of turbulence distribution and wind turbine wake characteristics in the wind farm can be achieved. This provides precise data support for the overall control of the wind farm. The solution aims to optimize turbine placement, reduce wake interference, and significantly enhance the power generation efficiency and operational safety of the wind farm.
