Technology Power | Leice Provides 3D Wind Field Monitoring Services for the Emergent Fire Fighting at the Laoshan BeiLu Mountain.

On the afternoon of April 19, a mountain fire broke out at the junction of Chengyang District and Laoshan District in Qingdao. After receiving the notification from the municipal emergency management department, Qingdao Leice Transient Technology Co., Ltd. quickly started the emergency response, and cooperated with Ocean University of China to form an emergency service team. The scanning Lidar was set up within 100 meters away from the fire scene to start emergency monitoring.


As the saying goes: The wind helps the fire, and the fire takes advantage of the wind. Due to the strong wind during the period, especially the gust of the fire scene, the on-site emergency rescue team urgently needs accurate meteorological data such as wind direction and wind force. The wind-measuring lidar can timely and accurately obtain the three-dimensional wind field monitoring data of the fire scene, which provides strong support for the forest fire prevention and fire fighting headquarters to reasonably determine the rescue plan and the meteorological department for accurate weather forecasting.

With the joint efforts of all parties, the wildfire was extinguished on the afternoon of April 21. The emergency support services provided by Leice and the the Ocean University of China team have been highly recognized and praised by the municipal emergency management department and the meteorological department.
