The research team led by Associate Professor Song Xiaoquan from Ocean University of China utilized the Wind3D 6000 Doppler wind lidar from Qingdao Leice to observe the characteristics of sea and land winds in the Huludao area and analyze their impact on ozone pollution. The related results were published in the Journal of Optics and selected as a highlight article in the Space, Atmospheric, Oceanic and Environmental Optics (SAME) special issue. The team uses LiDAR to capture the fine structure of sea and land winds, and combines it with a mesoscale WRF model to study the effect of sea and land wind circulation on local ozone pollution, providing new ideas for local meteorological pollution research.
Recently, after the procedures of unit declaration, district and city preliminary examination, centralized defense, field verification and meeting research, Qingdao Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security released the list of 2023 Qingdao Postdoctoral Stations (Bases) and Qingdao Expert Workstations to be recognized, and Qingdao Radiometrics Chuangxin Science and Technology Co.
Recently, Shandong Light Industry Collective Enterprises Association released “Announcement on the List of SME Innovation R&D Centers in Shandong Province in 2023”, and Qingdao Private Economy Development Bureau released “Announcement on the List of Qingdao One Enterprise One Technology R&D Centers in 2023”, Qingdao RAMSON Technology Co. Ltd. was honored to be on the list, and RAMSON LIDAR Innovation R&D Center of Atmospheric and Oceanic Laser Radar was awarded as Shandong Province Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Innovation R&D Center, and the company was awarded as Qingdao “One Enterprise, One Technology” R&D Center.
According to the monitoring of the Central Meteorological Observatory, Super Typhoon “Doksuri” made landfall along the coast of Jinjiang, Fujian Province at 9:55 am on July 28. The maximum wind force near the center was level-15 (50m/s), making it the strongest typhoon to make landfall in China this year. It’s the second strongest typhoon to make landfall in Fujian by complete observation records. During the typhoon's transit period, entrusted by the superior department, Leice team quickly allocated nearly 20 sets of land-based and offshore floating wind lidars in the waters of Fujian and near the landing points, achieving land and marine joint-observation for the first time. It successfully tracked and observed Typhoon "Doksuri", and obtained accurate, complete, and valuable three-dimensional observation data of the strong typhoon. Leice team overcame many difficulties such as time constraints, implementation difficulties, and equipment transportation difficulties, and completed the "almost impossible" task, receiving unanimous recognition and praise from customers.
The 31st Summer Universiade (hereinafter referred to as "Universiade") was officially opened in Chengdu on July 28. This is the third time that Chinese Mainland has hosted the Summer Universiade and the first time that western China has hosted the world Multi-sport event. In cooperation with Ocean University of China, Leice has deployed a number of wind lidars around the event venues and formed a special meteorological service team, which successfully provided the opening ceremony of the Universiade with fine three-dimensional wind field observation data and analysis services around the opening ceremony venues. The excellent work of Leice and the team of Ocean University of China has been highly recognized by the sponsor and the national meteorological department, which is also the team's meteorological support task for major world events after the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games and the Winter Paralympic Games.
